The Fife Curling Trust has been working hard over the last year and much progress has been made. We are now at the stage of making submission to various grant-awarding authorities but many of them will only help us with funding if we can show that we are endeavouring to generate funding by our own efforts. The generous contributions given by clubs at the outset of our exercise was of great benefit in persuading some funding bodies to give us start-up grants and it is these, in fact, that have paid for the legal and accounting fees to date, leaving the initial donation intact.
Once our site becomes confirmed more significant amounts of money will be required but rather than wait until then, and have a standing start, we wish to promote the Crampit Club, to be operated in the same way as a 100 club, but without the restrictions of a set number of members. It is hoped that donations will start coming in during the next few weeks and that we will make the first prize draw on 1st May 2008 and on the 1st day of each month thereafter. We would therefore encourage you to print off and distribute this webpage and application form amongst your members and their friends to enable as large a response as possible.
This is open to individuals over the age of 16 and to corporate bodies such as your own club. You should be aware, however, because of the charitable status of our organisation, should the ice rink not proceed, the money collected cannot be returned to individuals but must be used for charitable purposes or in the furtherance of curling activities in general, such as junior coaching or club development.
We hope that you will be generous in your support for Fife Curling Trust. We appreciate that we are asking you to contribute to something that does not exist at present but any contribution will be greatly appreciated and will help greatly at the time that a site is identified.
For an annual sum of £60, or £5.00 per month by standing order, you will receive a personal number which will be entered into a monthly draw, made on the first day of each month, with a bonus draw of double the prize money, in time for Christmas.
Total monthly Prize money will be 30% of the monthly fund. For up to 100 members there will be 3 prizes allocated in the ratio of 50% for the first prize, 30% for the 2nd and 20% for the 3rd. For each additional 100 members there will be 3 additional prizes. The actual monthly prize money will reflect the numbers subscribed in any month – so the more tickets that you buy the larger the prizes. Why not buy more than one ticket and have your club buy some also.
It is easy to join – just print this form & fill in the details, noting the month you wish to start paying into the club, and return the form to our Treasurer. He will add your personal reference number and forward the Standing Order on to your bank. -----------------------------------------------------
