Fife Curling Trust has launched its new "Crampit Club" to raise funds in anticipation of reaching the next stage of their Curling Rink Project.
Fife Curling Trust are now at the stage of making submissions to various grant-awarding authorities but many of them will only help us with funding if we can show that we are endeavouring to generate funding by our own efforts. The generous contributions given by clubs at the outset of our exercise was of great benefit in persuading some funding bodies to give us start-up grants and it is these, in fact, that have paid for the legal and accounting fees to date, leaving the initial donation intact.
Once our site becomes confirmed more significant amounts of money will be required but rather than wait until then, and have a standing start, we wish to promote the Crampit Club, to be operated in the same way as a 100 club, but without the restrictions of a set number of members. It is hoped that donations will start coming in during the next few weeks and that we will make the first prize draw on 1st May 2008 and on the 1st day of each month thereafter. We would therefore encourage you to print off and distribute the Crampit Club webpage and application form amongst your members and their friends to enable as large a response as possible.
We hope that you will be generous in your support for Fife Curling Trust. We appreciate that we are asking you to contribute to something that does not exist at present but any contribution will be greatly appreciated and will help greatly at the time that a site is identified.
For an annual sum of £60, or £5.00 per month by standing order, you will receive a personal number which will be entered into a monthly draw, made on the first day of each month, with a bonus draw of double the prize money, in time for Christmas.
For further details and application please go to the dedicated webpage for the CRAMPIT CLUB.
