£10,000 Prize Draw Attracts The Punters
At the halfway stage of the selling of Fife Curling Trust's Grand Prize Draw Tickets (First Prize £10,000), local curling clubs and members have raised over £21,000 in ticket sales since the launch in May.
There remains 3 months to purchase tickets for the draw, which will take place at a Fundraising Gala Dinner on Fri 4th December at Elmwood College.
Local Curling Club members have attended events throughout the summer in their local communities to sell tickets and increase exposure for the sport and their clubs. This strategy has been very successful with some clubs raising four figure sums in ticket sales so far. Cupar Curling Club has had notable success, with average ticket sales of £120 by EACH member!
With the onset of the new season approaching at the end of this month, it is hoped that many more tickets can be sold before December when the lucky winner takes home the cheque for £10,000 and the runners up fly off on their free family holiday.
