Clubs Forge Ahead With Fundraising
Curling Clubs have taken on the fundraising activities for the proposed new Cupar Rink with enthusiasm.
Each club was given an allocation of Grand Prize Draw tickets to sell and there has been many innovative ideas by clubs on how to sell their allocation. Many are choosing to attend local events and galas by manning a stall selling the tickets.
This has proved successful with one unforeseen spin off in that this is also raising the club's profile in their local community and clubs are signing up prospective new members as a direct result. An example of this was Markinch CC who attended their local Highland games and not only sold nearly £400 of tickets but garnered 16 prospective new members - what a result !
Falkland CC recently had a successful day at their local Fete and Cupar CC also had a good day in the home of the new rink in Duffus Park at Cupar Highland games.
Many other clubs plan to be attending local events, so please get along and give them your support.
